Roger Morris served on the senior staff of the National Security Council under Presidents Johnson and Nixon, until he resigned in protest over the invasion of Cambodia. An award-winning investigative journalist and historian as well as a former diplomat, he is the author of several books including Richard Milhous Nixon: The Rise of an American Politician (Henry Holt & Co., 1989). Morris is currently completing a history dealing with U.S. policy and covert intervention in Southwest Asia for the publisher Alfred Knopf.
